DOMESTIC ASSAULT A domestic dispute yesterday afternoon resulted in a 33 year-old man being charged with assault and breach of probation.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
A domestic dispute yesterday afternoon resulted in a 33 year-old man being charged with assault and breach of probation. The man is alleged to have slammed a car door on the leg of the victim and also threw a mailbox that did not strike the victim. The assault followed a verbal argument that took place at approximately 3 pm. The accused male will appear in bail court at 10:00 this morning.


CHARGED WITH LCBO THEFT
27 year-old Matthew David Russell of 138 East Street was arrested and charged last night after he allegedly stole a bottle of Vodka from the LCBO in the Station Mall.

Russell is reported to have entered the store and place the bottle of vodka in his sweater as observed by LCBO staff. Russell was apprehended outside the store and turned over to city police officers. Mr. Russell will appear in court on May 3rd.


PUNCHED THREE TIMES
Blake Millroy, age 20 of 155 Willow Avenue, will appear in court on May 3rd after being charged with assault.

It is alleged that Millroy punched another male person in the face approximately 3 times causing the victim to have a swollen nose and minor cuts. The assault took place on McNabb Street by the YMCA. Millroy is scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd.


FOUR MEN ARRESTED
An incident that took place on Edinburgh Street at 9:20 last night resulted in the arrests of 4 men. Ian Agawa, age 23 of 2848 Goulais Mission Road, 39 year-old Percy Agawa of 2837 Goulais Mission Road and Jamie Waboose, 21 years-old of 2246 Goulais Mission Road were all charged with 2 counts of uttering a death threat and 2 counts of assault with a weapon.

Ian Agawa has an additional charge of mischief under $5000. The 3 accused men are alleged to have gone to a residence and threatened the 2 occupants. They also were carrying with them a golf club and a baseball bat. Ian Agawa is reported to have thrown the golf club through the front window of the residence.

23-year-old Ryan O’Hara of Edinburgh Street was also arrested after being checked by patrol officers. O’Hara was found to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest for 3 breaches of probation. Jamie Waboose will appear in bail court this morning while the other 3 men are scheduled to appear in court on May 3rd.

HOCKEY REMINDER
City police sergeant, Mark Dubas, has a reminder for hockey fans. The NHL Alumni/Law Enforcement hockey game is scheduled for Thursday April 1st at 7 pm at the Memorial Gardens.

Proceeds from the game go to the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics.
