The Sault Ste Marie Police Service was kept busy during the last 24 hours responding to over 100 calls.
There were two break and enters reported yesterday. One was to Biff's Buff & Shine at 285 Conmee Avenue. The second was an attempt to enter Walt's Gas Station at 120 Wellington Street West.
Other calls responded to were 6 reports of theft, including the theft of a three wheel ATV from an address in the 800 block of Walls Road. The Honda ATV is a 1980?s model red in colour. It did not have any plates.
The Service also investigated six reports of mischief -three of which were to cars in the 100 block of Princess Crescent, the 100 block of Estelle Street and the 100 block of Great Northern Road were damaged.
At 10:20am yesterday, a motor vehicle collision between a car and a pedestrian resulted in minor injuries to the pedestrian. Forty-one-year-old Paul Archambault, of Wellington Street East, was walking eastbound on Albert Street East, crossing Tancred Street when he was struck by a northbound motor vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle, 81-year-old Jeanne Fortin, of 114 Amber Street, failed to see the pedestrian cross the street. The Sault Ste Marie Police Service is still investigating this accident.
