City Police Beat

On March 31st, 2013 at 3:45 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged Armandine Morissette, age 53 of 391 Bush St. with Impaired Driving and Driving over .08. Officers learned that the accused had been driving her car on Wellington St. W.

Evening release: At approximately 0600 a.m. this morning the Sault Area Hospital reported the theft from sometime overnight of an ATM machine from the lower lobby near the Tim Horton’s area.

On the 29 March 2013 police located a male wanted on numerous warrants. He had allegedly stolen a wallet that contained an undisclosed amount of cash. Charged with break and enter x3, theft under $5,000.

Afternoon news On March 29th, 2013 at 1:05 pm Police Officers located a 22 year old in residence on Trunk Rd.

On March 27, 2013 at 9:25 P.M. a 17 year old male was arrested and charged with Mischief under Five Thousand Dollars in relation to damage he caused at his parents’ home.

36 year old Richard Levesque of 524 Goulais Ave was arrested on an outstanding Probation and Parole warrant for failing to comply with his community service order. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 6 2013.

Two vehicles were entered in the Peno Road area. A small amount of change was taken. * * * Nine traffic accidents reported to police. Police are asking drivers to reduce speeds and be more attentative while driving.

A 16 year old female who was arrested on March 22nd for Robbery and aggravated assault will be appearing in Bail Court tomorrow as a result of additional charges today.

On the 23rd March 2013 police observed a male walking in the downtown core they knew to be wanted. He was approached and arrested for the outstanding warrants.

Early evening release: A 29 year old male was arrested at 4:47 a.m. charged with 2 counts of mischief and an assault resulting from 2 domestic incidents.
