White Pines Collegiate and Vocational School is putting on their second virtual coffee house concert Thursday night starting at 7 p.m.

“I’m super excited for it. I’ve gotten better at the technology (since the first concert) so it’s been easier this time and a lot more fun so we’re excited about that,” said Gregory Maclachlan, music teacher at White Pines and MC of the virtual concert.

“The first concert went really well and we got a lot of buzz on YouTube, so we decided to do another one to share with everyone,” he said.

The coffee house concert will feature musical talent from White Pines, skits from the drama class, and teachers showing off their newly-learned talents.

“We used to do about four or five coffee house concerts a year and we realized there wasn’t going to be much we could do in person, so I got the kids to record videos of themselves at home and they sent them in,” Machlachlan said. “We’re just trying to do something to bring everyone together.”

The event will go live at 7 p.m., and will be available to watch later at this link
