In memory of a beautiful soul who left us 17 years ago. Not a day goes by that we don’t think of you. Our mother Trudy was a kind, wise and compassionate woman who always had an open heart and open table for everyone. She loved her friends and family with her whole heart.
Dear Mama,
I was so young when you left, it sometimes feels like a dream that you were here at all. And yet, though I often feel motherless, I am still your daughter, and you are still my mama.
I still look to you for guidance. I still allow the values you taught me to serve as my compass. I still read the letters and cards you gave me. I still sing the songs that you sang to me. I still talk about you. You are still my mother and I am still your daughter and death cannot take that away.
Thank you for being my Mama. Thank you for being my teacher, my friend, and my role model for traveling through life.
