Soo Greyhounds forward Tanner Dickinson has inked a three-year entry level contract with the NHL’s St. Louis Blues.

The 19-year-old was drafted by the Blues in the fourth round of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.

Dickinson spent time last season with the Blues’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Utica Comets, seeing action in three games with the club.

In July, Dickinson participated in USA Hockey’s World Junior Summer Showcase in Plymouth, Mich.

Greyhounds coach John Dean called Dickinson “a quiet, soft-spoken kid.”

“Right from day one, it was clear what his objective was and he’s very dedicated to his craft,” Dean added.

After signing with the Greyhounds as a free agent in the summer of 2019, Dickinson scored nine goals and 40 points in 64 games with the club.

Dickinson’s 40 points were fifth among all OHL rookies while his 31 assists were second among first-year players.

The Blues did not officially release financial terms of the deal.
