“I fell in love with figure skating watching the Calgary ‘88 Olympics at 10 yrs old but I never had the opportunity to pursue lessons. Years passed, and life became busy with med school, Pediatric residency and then Pediatric practice in Sault Ste Marie. Despite everything I still followed figure skating intensely and still dreamed to learn. Eventually , in 2018 I turned 40 and decided then that I would pursue figure skating! Learning and mastering skill after skill is challenging physically, mentally and emotionally, but when I’m figure skating I feel complete joy and I’m able to forget about everything else going on in my life”, says Dr. Jonathan Keuhl.
Dr. Keuhl now has his sights set on competing at the ISU International Adult Competition in Obersdorf, Germany in May 23-28, 2022.
The Lake Superior Figure Skating Club Board of Directors is very proud of Jonathan and would like to wish all the best in his future endeavors.
