Update

Sunday's Ontario Hockey League game between the Soo Greyhounds and Sarnia Sting has been postponed.

The game has been moved to tomorrow night and will start at 7:07 p.m.

Falling ice forced the closure of the Mackinac Bridge earlier today and it remains closed at this hour.

(Note: As of 5 p.m. the bridge was re-opened)

The Sting were travelling north from Saginaw following a game against the Spirit last night and planned to finish the trip this morning ahead of a 2:07 start locally.

Initially the game was pushed back to 4:07 p.m., before the decision was made to officially postpone the game.

Original story

The current closure of the Mackinac Bridge to traffic due to falling ice has meant a delayed start time for Sunday's Ontario Hockey League game between the Soo Greyhounds and Sarnia Sting.

The Sting, who played on Saturday night in Saginaw, are currently on the south side of the bridge awaiting a chance to finish the trip north to the Sault.

There is no indication as to when the bridge might reopen to traffic.

The game, originally scheduled for 2:07 p.m., has been pushed back to a 4:07 p.m. puck drop.

Further details will be added as new developments arise.
