UPDATE:
The Soo Jr. Greyhounds U15 AAA team lost tonight on home ice in a hard-fought contest against the Vaughan Kings before a supportive crowd at the new Northern Community Centre Arena.
The Kings scored once in the first period, again in the second frame, and notched two more in the third to come out with a 4-0 victory.
Despite the loss, the Sault players finish the tournament with silver medals after recording six wins and one tie on their way to the championship final.
In the bronze medal game played earlier, the York Simcoe Express beat the Upper Canada Cyclones 4-1.

The Soo Jr. Greyhounds will play for gold tonight (Sunday, April 16) at the Ontario Hockey Federation’s U15 AAA hockey championships being hosted in the Sault.
The Sault beat the Upper Canada Cyclones 5-1 earlier today in the semifinals, while the Vaughan Kings downed the York Simcoe Express 4-2 in the other semifinal tilt to punch their ticket to the gold medal matchup.
The Sault and Vaughan met earlier in round-robin play, with the Sault coming out on top 2-0, handing the Kings their only loss in the tournament. The Kings enter the final with a record of 6-1-0.
The Greyhounds enter the final without a loss and a record of 6-0-1, having played to a 2-2 tie against the Cyclones on Thursday.
Games are being hosted at the recently opened twin-pad Northern Community Centre arena at 556 Goulais Ave.
The Express and the Cyclones face off in the bronze medal game at 5 p.m.
Puck drop for the championship game between the Sault and Vaughan is at 7:30 p.m.
