Update
In an email, Sault Ste. Marie Corporate Communications Officer Tessa Vecchio advises that the city has "not yet received any regulations from the province that outline this next phase of reopening."
"Once we receive formal regulations, we will review them and follow our usual procedures of working with Algoma Public Health and assessing local health indicators and requirements to ensure the continued health and safety of our staff and facility users," Vecchio also said.
The clarification comes after an announcement from the Ontario Hockey League earlier Friday afternoon that proof of vaccination would no longer be required to attend games.

Beginning on March 1, fans attending Soo Greyhounds will no longer be required to have proof of vaccination to attend games both locally and around the Ontario Hockey League.
In a release issued Friday afternoon, the OHL announced the decision in accordance with timelines set out by the provincial government.
Capacity restrictions will also be lifted at that point while all other public health requirements, including masking, will remain in effect.
“We’re very excited to see fans back watching the Ontario Hockey League in person,” OHL Commissioner David Branch said in a prepared statement. “It’s been a season like no other, and I’m very proud of the way that everyone across the League has come together to follow the guidance of our government and public health leaders as we navigate the challenges presented by COVID-19. We’ll continue to prioritize health and safety first for players, staff, fans and their communities as the season continues.”
