On Aug 16, Metro Phase1 is coming to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to run a 4-day intensive skill development camp for local athletes. Metro Phase1 is a not for profit organization that has been involved in player development for 10 years.

The Sault Sharks Major Midget Boys Basketball team won a gold medal on the weekend, winning Division Six of Basketball Ontario's playdowns in Ottawa. In game 1, the Sharks defeated Kingston Running Rebels #2 by a score of 52-48.

The Under-18 Civics women's soccer team reached the semifinals of the West Niagara Invitational tournament over the weekend. The Civics lost 2—1 to the Dixie Vipers, the eventual tourney champions, in the semifinal match.

The Sault Steelers will be celebrating 35 years of senior football in Sault Ste Marie on June 22-23,2007. Planned events include the following: Friday, June 22, a beer brats and memories social will be held at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion from 8 p.m.

The Sault Titans major midget basketball team wound up finishing fourth in Division 2 over the weekend at the Ontario Cup tournament in Ottawa. The Sault Titans lost a hard fought battle to the # 3 ranked Ajax Lions 64-47 in the bronze-medal game.

The Sault's Dundee Wealth Management Firestorm returned home Sunday night from the Western Ontario Soccer League's Kick Off Cup held in Strathroy, Ontario. The Firestorm is the Under 16 girls traveling Civics Soccer team.
