The Soo Thunderbirds officially hit the ice on Monday in preparation for the 2006-07 Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League season. Workouts take place at the John Rhodes Community Centre from 3:30 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Registration is now open for the ultimate frisbee co-ed fall league. Games are on Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm from Sept 13 to the end of Oct. Cost is a mere $10. Gatherings after games at the Cellar Tap.
