OTTAWA — The Ottawa Senators have signed defenceman Patrick Sieloff to a one-year, two-way contract that will carry an annual value of US$650,000 in the NHL and $90,000 in the American Hockey League.

TAMPA, Fla. — Tyler Johnson is staying with the Tampa Bay Lightning. The free-agent forward signed a new seven-year, $35 million deal to remain with the Lightning, General Manager Steve Yzerman announced Monday.

FRISCO, Texas — The Dallas Stars have re-signed young centre Radek Faksa to a $6.6 million, three-year contract. Faksa is coming off his first full NHL season, when he had 12 goals and 21 assists in 80 games.

NEW YORK — The New York Rangers have hired longtime NHL head coach Lindy Ruff as an assistant to Alain Vigneault. The Rangers announced the hire Monday.

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — The Los Angeles Kings have hired Pierre Turgeon for his first job as an assistant coach. Kings head coach John Stevens completed his staff Monday.

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Oilers have signed defenceman Yohann Auvitu to a one-year contract. The 27-year-old Auvitu appeared in 25 games with the New Jersey Devils last season, recording four points (two goals, two assists) and two penalty minutes.

New York Rangers defenceman Kevin Klein has retired after playing parts of 12 seasons in the NHL. The Rangers announced the retirement of the 32-year-old on Friday.

VANCOUVER — The Vancouver Canucks have signed forward Joseph LaBate to a one-year, two-way contract. LaBate, 24, made 13 appearances with the Canucks in 2016-17, debuting Nov. 23 at Arizona.
