WINNIPEG — The Winnipeg Jets have signed forward Axel Jonsson-Fjallby to a two-year contract. The contract is a two-way contract in 2023-24 and is worth US$775,000 a year at the NHL level.

OTTAWA — Joonas Korpisalo is hopeful he can be the final piece to help the Ottawa Senators take the next step. The Senators signed the 29-year-old goaltender to a five-year, US$20 million contract on the opening day of free agency Saturday.

CALGARY — The Calgary Flames have signed defenceman Jordan Oesterle to a one-year contract. The 31-year-old from Dearborn Heights, Mich., compiled four goals and 15 assists in 97 games over the previous two seasons with the Detroit Red Wings.
