EDMONTON — The Edmonton Eskimos have lost linebacker J.C. Sherritt for the entire CFL season after he suffered a ruptured left Achilles tendon. Sherritt suffered the injury in the second quarter of the Eskimos victory over the B.C. Lions on Saturday.

Calgary Stampeder running back Roy Finch says he made a mistake trying to treat his attention deficit disorder and it resulted in a two-game suspension. The CFL suspended the 25-year-old Monday for testing positive for amphetamine.

OTTAWA — The Ottawa Senators have signed forward Tom Pyatt to a two-year, one-way contract extension worth US$2.2 million. The Thunder Bay, Ont.

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Oilers have signed forward Zack Kassian to a three-year contract extension. Kassian, 26, appeared in 79 games with the Oilers last season, posting 24 points (seven goals, 17 assists) and 101 penalty minutes.

TORONTO — The list of Toronto Blue Jays who have spent time on the disabled list over the first three months of the season is one of the longest in recent memory.

MONTREAL — The Montreal Alouettes signed veteran quarterback Drew Willy to a one-year contract Monday. Willy played for the Toronto Argonauts and Winnipeg Blue Bombers last season. He was released by the Argonauts earlier this month.
