Pleasssse! This is gov't over-reach. That's all this is. And, by the way, people are not eating Tide Pods on TikTok or anywhere else for that matter. If you've never been on this social media website or app, then you should not be judging it either. There are a lot of people who get and give valuable information on this social media platform, so don't spread misinformation. Justin Trudeau just doesn't want it b/c it's exposing his criminality.

Let me put this straight so there's no misunderstandings..
With over 80k people now living here now.
On the WEEKENDS:
Services are every HOUR during the day. Then, ppl have to put up with the awful On Demand service. I won't even go there...
ON THE WEEK DAYS
Service is every HALF-HOUR until 6:30pm, then ALL the buses SHUT DOWN for 45-mins.
When service resumes - it's every HOUR starting at 7:15pm until 11:15pm when the last bus leaves the terminal.
There are hardly ANY shelters throughout the city, and the ones we do have that have been damaged are NEVER FIXED, even though people call up and report the damage.
They have taken bus stops out along certain routes, making the walk from bus stop to bus stop even further, especially along Great Northern Road.
And, there still isn't any service that goes down Second Line East by Humane Society or anywhere near that area of the city.
Does any of this constitute a raise in bus fare prices?

They all collectively need to go. Don't even get me started with the weekend On Demand service that upper management at City Transit refuses to ebolish.

That was my question... Where's this?? How many years has it been now?

Every single Saturday & Sunday (eye-roll). The inspectors and drivers do their absolute BEST to alieviate any disruption in service or stress it causes for the passengers.
However, you're spot on when saying the service itself is ridiculous. There is NO WAY it saves this city money by any stretch of the imagination.
It's the worst public service ever implemented in this city, and it's been allowed to continue way longer than it should've been.
Time to give it the 'ol heave-hoe' b/c every person I've ever spoken to about it, hates it!

I like your way of thinking FamilyMan; however, this is NEVER the way it goes.. not in the past, and I can't see that happening now either. Nothing ever gets cheaper, except, maybe the appraisal on a vehicle.
All we can do, and should be doing is draining the swamp up at City Hall.. and, I mean EVERYBODY.
We need newbies everywhere! - Mayor, City Council members, City Transit management, City Works, City By-law department, DSSAB. All of the above mentioned, have ALL become too comfortable in their cushioned, well-paying positions.
Understand, that it's not just ONE group of people in ONE department of the city.. it's ALL of em. It's up to us to relieve them of their duties if they're not paying attention or doing their jobs properly.

You do realize this city's received a lot of funding just for transit services alone from the federal government, right? It's upper management that's not doing their jobs. I'm not sure what it is they're doing 5-days/wk at 40hrs/wk per month, weekends off with benefits and pension; however, I'm not seeing a lot for my money.

And, who's fault is that? Sorry, but it's gotta be placed somewhere. Ppl had no chance after covid to even start saving for inflation. It caught everyone off guard, businesses still close too early around here, thus, cutting people's work hours. This is not a "town" it's a city with more than 80k people living in it now. There's been no raises, and the people who have suffered the most have been the low-income families. I see nothing right about any of this.

To City Council, mayor & public works - Speaking of snow and ice... Upper Lake Street is atrocious! People are still out walking their dogs. If city's not going to clear the sidewalk on the one side of the street properly, the least they can do is clear the road and put an acceptable amount of sand/salt down so people walking on it aren't slipping and falling all over the place!. When trying to walk on the side of the road there's big hunks of snow with glare ice underneath. It's a good thing I have spikes on the bottom of my boots, or walking on it would be next to impossible. The residents on upper Lake Street DO pay city taxes, so the way this street has basically been ignored, while others around it are cleaned, is unacceptable, and the same goes for Great Northern Road. Ridiculous.
