I am happy to have the option to be able to walk to my local variety store for the odd beverage but this won't replace LCBO, obviously, as the selection at the variety stores is limited.
I would like to see our exalted town council allow cannabis sales within our town borders, however.

I think that traffic mitigation measures are needed at all of the local elementary and high schools. Parents showing up in cars are often parking or stopping illegally and unsafely. They also quite often block school buses that have usually have exclusive use of the turning circles in front of the schools. Very unsafe for students and staff.

I wish I had known about this I would have voted. I'm surprised there wasn't a category for thrift stores.

Welcome to Newmarket. Where you can purchase cigarettes , vapes, and now alcohol at a local variety store, but we are not considered adult enough to be able to purchase cannabis products legally within town boundaries. Thank you to our backwards thinking town council.

I didn't even realize that place was still open!

And yet we are still not considered adult enough here in Newmarket to be permitted to purchase cannabis products in a retail setting.
Cheers!

A beautifully written obituary. Grant was obviously truly loved.

Girl, please! That stretch of Bathurst Street has been a 50 km zone between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday from September until June for several years now.
If you live in the area like you say you do then you know this.
You're just lucky that up until now you missed getting tagged by a live officer with a radar gun.
You won't get sympathy from me and probably not from a lot of other people for speeding through a school zone.
There are children who cross Bathurst Street to get safely to school. You are the problem. Not the cameras.
Pay your tickets and drive more lawfully.

Please ensure that underserved communities within Newmarket are considered for these vending machines. It feels like all the nice things in town go to higher income neighbourhoods.

This is actually a very good thing to see from the town of Newmarket. Duke is indeed a fixture at that community fridge. I do drop offs of food as regularly as possible and it seems like he is always there and ready to help.
