I think it’s time to change the crew on the good ship SS Marie folks .This crew has been away from the real world far too long. Remember this on the next municipal election when you vote.

Just out of curiosity, who’s paying for this? It would be much cheaper to replace the consultant and city hall than to construct a fake Hollywood facade while everything behind the facade rots and deteriorates like our poor city is slowly doing.(Just my observation)

Our most sincere condolences to you and your family Jo Ann on the passing of Doug. I had many dealings with him when I worked at the plant as a health and safety representative and I knew that he could be depended on to follow through with any concerns that came up.Doug will be missed by all that knew him and it was a great pleasure to have known him. I think the biggest problem is no one wants to start with a starter home anymore and work up to something more substantial. The train of thought now days is to start at 7 or 8 hundred thousand and throw in a boat, trailer, snow machine, only to find you can’t afford it and then cry to every one looking for pity. ( just my observation)

I hope our city councillors are reading these comments. It’s about time that they start addressing what we the taxpayers want and not every goofy idea that they seem to pull out of a hat. They seem to go from one foolish idea to another and each one costs the taxpayers . I believe you’re going to see a lot of new faces on city council after the next municipal election and I think the changes will be warranted.

The money that was spent on the downtown fiasco ( concrete plaza ) would have ensured that there would have been plenty of money to maintain and restore if needed many of the city’s historical sites.
