i am very sad to hear that Mr. Dovigi (Fred) passes away and would like to extend my condolences to the family. Mr. Dovigi was one of my favourite teachers at Korah and a family friend. He really seemed to care about ALL of his students, and tried to engage them in different ways depending on what they needed. He was always very candid and taught us a lot of life lessons, not just the curriculum requirements. We stayed in touch after I left the Soo and he was always very supportive of me in all of my endeavours. He will be missed greatly!

For some reason the report doesn't compare apples to apples. What about the internet speed for people living in rural northern Ontario? Why is it being touted as a good thing to have internet speeds in northern Ontario cities that are marginally better than rural areas in southern Ontario. The fact remains that internet speed, prices and limits for rural northern Ontario, where high quality (or at least adequate) internet is arguably more important for access to education, e-commerce, virtual medical consultations etc is lacking.

Nice to see a young Saultite starting up this kind of business in Sault Ste. Marie! I've done this a few times at Immerse Spa in Kingston and it is great! Very relaxing and good for chronic pain since it's not just "anti-gravity", but your skin absorbs magnesium topically which is supposed to be very effective. The concept is basically the same as when people used to travel to the Dead Sea (which has the highest salinity of the worlds oceans and seas) in the Mediterranean for it's healing properties. People thought it was a miracle but not there is science backing it up, not just placebo effect.

This is great news! I am originally from Sault Ste. Marie and did a BSc in Space Science. My MSc and PhD in Physics are also focused in space science. Despite wanting to move back to northern Ontario it has seemed like the space industry is focussed places like Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and the US. I think it’s great for the diversity of the northern economy and promotes opportunity for young people to return home (closer to family) in the future.
