On the morning of 20 June 2015, police received a call from a citizen who reported that Shawn McFadden, age 55, was observed at a location downtown. McFadden was this past week’s “wanted Wednesday” media release from the Sault Ste.

Thefts from vehicles from last night were reported to City Police today. Vehicles in the 500 block of John St., 600 block of McDonald Ave., were entered and sunglasses, keys and loose change were stolen.

Police would like to warn Sault Ste. Marie residents of a telephone scam. Callers identify themselves as Canada Revenue Agency investigators and inform the victim they owe back taxes.

On June 16, 2015, at 4:40 p.m., officers arrested and charged an 18-year-old male with Breach of Recognizance and Breach of a Youth Criminal Justice Probation Order.

On June 15, 2015 at 11:55 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Elizabeth Lucas, age 18 of James St. Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario with Assault with a Weapon. It is alleged that the accused threw a board at a person.

City police officers attended to a downtown residence early this morning regarding a domestic complaint. Investigation revealed that a 24-year-old male had caused damage to an apartment belonging to a female known to him.

On 12 June, 2015 at 8 a.m., a 24-year-old male turned himself in at the police station after a warrant had been issued for his arrest. The male was on conditions to stay away from his ex-girlfriend and it is alleged he attended at her place of work.

On June 11, 2015, city police attended on Goulais Avenue for break and enter to a garage. The break and enter occurred within the last two months and various power tools were taken.

On June 11th City Police received a complaint of a domestic assault in the downtown area. Investigation revealed that a male and his common-law girlfriend were arguing in their apartment.
