He left us suddenly,
His thoughts unknown,
But he left us with memories,
We are proud to own.
The angels came and took him,
We thought it so unfair,
They took away our only son,
And the hurt is hard to bare.
How very much we miss him,
We really cannot say,
The ache is deep within our hearts,
And never goes away.
We hear it mentioned often,
That time will heal the pain,
But if we're being honest,
Each day is still the same.
