Dad, how do you put into words 3 years of thoughts, feelings, emotions and hurt that we have felt since you left? Time has not lessened the pain, our hearts still ache every day when we think of you, we will never be whole, there will always be a piece that went with you to Heaven.

Our love for you is as strong as ever Dad because your love for us was never a question we had to ask. It may have been silent in words, but your actions were as big as your heart. You were always so selfless when it came to helping anyone no matter what it was even when you were fighting for your own strength to just get through one more day.

We see your personality and qualities in each other and in Austin and Logan and we know you are living on through those you loved. You taught us to be strong, to fight for what we believed in, to never give up and to never put ourselves last.

It was never your intention to leave us Dad, you fought a good fight, but we know you were tired, and we understand that as much as we wanted you to stay, we could not ask you to endure the suffering anymore.

The emptiness we feel will never be gone; we will miss you for the rest of our time here on earth, but we will remember you with so much love in our hearts. There will always be a part of you that lives on in all that knew you.

We can still see your smile, hear your laughter, and feel your love all around us. You left us with such a loving family and so many wonderful remembrances to get us through even the toughest days.

We continue to keep your memories alive, and even though there will always be an empty chair around the table you will always be in our laughter, our smiles and even in our tears.

They say that love never dies, it just simply evolves.

One day we will see you beyond the stars!

Never forgotten,

Pat, Karen & Jeff (Adam, Chantel), Lorrie & Mike (Myles), Tammy & Joey (Austin, Logan)
