On September 10, 2017, shortly after 5:30 p.m., members from the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence on Prout Street in the Town of Bruce Mines.

As the male was being arrested, officers observed marijuana paraphernalia and located a small amount of cannabis marijuana resin on the front passenger seat

At the scene police interviewed all witnesses. Investigation revealed that the residence had been broken into by 3 local males

Police received a call of a motor vehicle being driven by a possible impaired male driver

Lifejackets were in the vessel and were not worn at the time of the incident

Investigation determined the vehicle was not insured
