Mischief and theft from local scrapyard WAWA - The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment is currently investigating a complaint of mischief received on July 08, 2014.

Recent thefts in Elliot Lake ELLIOT LAKE – On July 8, 2014 the East Algoma Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call of another theft from a yard in Elliot Lake. This time the culprits stole a 1979 Johnson 9.

Stolen travel trailer GOULAIS TOWNSHIP – On Monday, July 14, 2014 Sault Ste. Marie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the theft of a travel trailer. Sometime between 3:55 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Vessel in distress GOULAIS TOWNSHIP - Sault Ste. Marie OPP Marine Unit responded to a vessel in distress on Sunday afternoon at approximately 2:30 p.m. near Batchawana Bay. The vessel had four adults and one child on board.

WAWA - On June 28, 2014 at 9 p.m., officers from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Superior East Wawa Detachment were advised of a possible impaired driver attempting to exit private drive on McKinley Avenue.
