ASSAULT LANDS SAULT STE MARIE MAN OVERNIGHT STAY IN JAIL Heyden, Ont., An assault on a woman Friday night landed a Sault Ste Marie man in jail for the night. On Friday at about 11:00 p.m.

The Sault detachment of the O.P.P. reports a quiet 24 hour period. The weather was the cause of several minor fender benders but damage was minimal and there were no injuries.

Sault O.P.P. had a quiet night last night and have nothing to report. There were three minor weather-related accidents with no injuries.
