On August 3, 2016 city police responded to a disturbance call in the area of Grace Street. Investigation revealed that a male was apparently intoxicated and was causing a disturbance by yelling and swearing.

At 3 p.m. on July 29, 2016 City Police arrested 26-year-old Shane Chad Agawa of Albert St West. It’s alleged that the accused failed to appear for a court date on July 25, 2016.

On July 27, 2016 city police were in the downtown area when they noticed a male that was wanted on outstanding warrants. As the officers approached the man, he took off running. A foot pursuit ensued through numerous streets and backyards.

On July 25 at approximately 9:30 p.m. the city police received a call of an erratic driver northbound on Peoples Road and then turning onto Third Line East.

Three break-ins were reported to city police overnight. A residence in the 1100 block of Goulais Avenue was broken into between July 23 and the 24 and the homeowner reported two long guns and his passport stolen.

On July 20, 2016 at approximately 5:45 p.m. officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Crime Suppression Unit observed a male walking in the downtown area that was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant.
