On the 4th July 2016 at approximately 4:45 p.m., the City Police responded to a business located in the 20 block of Great Northern Road for a report of a male attempting to rob the employees while having a knife tucked in his shorts.

On the 24th June 2016 at approximately 8 p.m., the Sault Ste. Marie Police received a report of a lone male knocking over the cenotaph in front of the Sault Ste. Marie Court House.

On June 23, 2016 at 6:10 p.m., city police arrested a 25-year-old male in relation to a domestic assault investigation. It is alleged that on this date, the accused assaulted his partner by grabbing her arm and neck and pushing her up against a wall.

On June 22, 2016 at 9:45 p.m., city police arrested and charged a 47-year-old male with breach of his recognizance of bail. It is alleged that he breached the condition on the recognizance that prohibited him from consuming alcohol.

On June 21, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. police were called to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Maple Street and St. Georges Avenue. No one was injured in the collision.

On June 20, 2016 at 10:50 p.m. city police stopped an e-bike on Pim Street. The driver of the e-bike, John Shackleton age 57 of Chestnut Street, was found to be under the influence of alcohol.
