Police see damaged Impala. Driver charged with possession of stolen property

A 45-year-old man faces charges of possession of a stolen Chevrolet Impala after police pulled him over because the car was damaged.

On January 28 at around 8 p.m. unknown culprit(s) broke into a garage on Young Street. Once inside the culprit(s) stole a quantity of tools. On January 28 at 4:45 p.m.

At 10:15 p.m. on January 27, 2016 city police arrested 18-year-old Austin Moar of South Market Street. It’s alleged that the accused attended at Walmart at the Station Mall and stole merchandise totaling $189.

On January 25, 2016 city police arrested a male on a dated warrant for break and enter. It is alleged that police obtained DNA at the scene and identified the accused.

On January 24, 2016 city police attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center and arrested Michael Todd Yaroshuk for four charges that had occurred on January 22, 2016.

On January 22, 31-year-old Robyn Cote and 35-year-old Terry Rideout attended to Romes and left the store without allegedly paying for food and drink items valued at over $80. They were apprehended by store security and turned over to City Police.

On January 22, 2016 Thomas Chevrier, age 18, turned himself in at the City Police Service regarding an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court.  Chevrier is now scheduled to appear in court in answer to the charge on February 29, 2016 at 9 a.m.

Sometime between January 15 and January 20, unknown culprits broke into a garage on Wellington Street East. Once inside the culprits stole a spot welder, TV and punching bag stand.
