Afternoon news On July 12, 2014 officers responded to a break and enter in the 300 block of John Street. Two males entered a residence and stole electronic equipment and DVD’S.

On July 11, 2014 a male age 41 was at the Sault Ste. Marie Courthouse attempting to be a surety for another person.

A vehicle in the 500 block of North St. had one of its windows smashed out last night and a purse which was inside the vehicle was stolen. A business in the 200 block of Bruce St. was entered last night. A computer, cell phones and keys were stolen.

On July 8 shortly before 7 p.m., a home owner on Bruce Street contacted police to advise his residence had been broken into. Officers learned that during the daytime hours of July 8 theives broke into the home and stole some watches and coins.

A vehicle and garage were entered overnight in the 500 block of Brule Road. At the time of this report, unspecified items were taken from the vehicle. The man door to the garage was entered and a plasma TV and various power tools were taken.

On July 5, 2014 at approximately 6:30 p.m it is alleged that a male attended at his girlfriend’s apartment after consuming alcohol.

Afternoon news On May 20th, Johnathan Townsend, age 20 of 800 Great Northern Rd. threaten to harm another adult. On July 6th at 3:00 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged him with Threatening Death or Bodily Harm.

A 24 year old foreign student was arrested last night and charged with domestic related offences. It is alleged on the 1st of July he assaulted his common-law girlfriend by striking her in the head area while she was driving her car.

Friday, July 4, 2014

Shortly before 4 a.m., city police arrested a 75-year-old male and charged him with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a 17-year-old female known to him by punching her in the face.

At approximately 3 p.m. today police responded to a motor vehicle collision at the Canadian Tire Gas Bar at the Cambrian Mall.
