Vacant House Burns At approximately 12:40 a.m. the Sault Ste. Marie Fire Deptment and the City Police attended at 833 Bonney Street regarding a vacant house on fire. The home was totally engulfed in flames upon the arrival of the Fire Department.

Fraudulant Check At Money Mart At approximately 3:30 p.m. yesterday City Police arrested a 43-year-old male at the Money Mart on Great Northern Road after he attempted to cash a forged cheque.

The Joint Forces Drug Unit Makes Another Bust At approx. 8:30 PM yesterday evening the Sault Ste Marie Police Service along with the Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a search warrant at 110 Breton Rd. Apt. #1.

Update To Yesterday's Sexual Assault Charge Yesterday’s release: 49-year old Louis Caruso of 11 White Oak Drive was arrested on the on the 6th of August by officers from Investigation Services and charged with one count of sexual assault.

Update To Sexual Assault The Sault Ste. Marie Police are now identifying the male charged with Sexual Assault as: Vincenzo Marcantonio, age 20, of 59 Farlane Blvd, Ottawa, On. The accused and the victim did know one another through employment.
