TWO BREAK AND ENTERS City police are investigating 2 business break and enters that occurred yesterday. Thieves cut through the power lines to Traders Metal at 131 Yates Road and forced open the door.

The Sault Police Service investigated a number of break and enters to private residences and one to a business. The business, located in the 2600 block of Second Line West had a lock cut off an exterior door allowing access to a utility room.

TWO ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT Officers of the Major Crime Unit executed arrest warrants on two male suspects yesterday. Arrested and charged is Kenneth Frigault, age 21, of 1027 Wellington Street East.

Monday, June 17, 2002

Over the weekend there were six break and enters reported to police. Yesterday, thieves pried open the door of Tri Laundromat at 701 Pine Street. Nothing was taken. Thieves gained entry to 2 businesses on the 400 block of Pim Street.

City Police had a quiet night last night. Other than a couple of arrests for public intoxication, they have nothing to report.

City Police report a quiet night last night. There were a total of three arrests; one for being intoxicated in a public place and two for breach of peace.

The Sault Police Service was called out to four break and enters overnight; four to private residences and one to a business. The business is located in the 100 block of White Oak Drive. The compound was entered and an outboard motor was taken.

The City Police Service has had a relatively quiet twenty-four hour period. Patrol officers were called to an address in the 200 block of Old Garden River Road in response to a report of a bear cub being hit by a car.

City police had a fairly quiet twenty-four hour period. At approximately 1:10 this morning, patrol officers responded to a noise complaint at an apartment at 99 Pine Street.

DRUG BUST Yesterday afternoon at 1:10, officers from the joint forces drug unit executed a search warrant at a residence on Wellington Street east. Approximately 60 grams of cannabis resin as well as a small amount of marijuana were seized.
