You left us so quickly
But that was always your way
I swear you have your jacket on
Watching over us today.

We miss you so very much
We did not know it would be this hard
No more Sunday morning coffees
Or relaxing in the back yard.

We thought you would live forever
Or ar least much longer than you did
You never burdened us with your troubles
You would never have it; God forbid.

We love you and we miss you
Each day a bit better than the last
We look forward to our futures
But will always treasure you in our past.
