Mid Canada Construction Midget AA Wildcats travelled to St. Paul, Minnesota last weekend for their fourth tournament of the season.

In Girls 'AA' OFSAA Basketball action in New Liskeard, the St. Mary's Knights, advanced to the Gold Medal game by defeating East Elgin of Aylmer 31-30.

After taking points in seven straight games, the Soo Greyhounds were left with nothing on Friday night. A first period goal by the Kitchener Rangers stood up as the winner in a 1-0 win over the Hounds in front of 4,461 fans at the Steelback Centre.

In quarterfinal action at the Girls AA OFSSA basketball championships in New Liskeard, the St Mary's Knights defeated Holy Trinity Titals 53-35 to advance to Saturday's Final Four. Semi-final action is scheduled for 10 a.m.

The Aurora's Westside Rebels from Atom Major division of the Soo Pee Wee Hockey League won the Turkey Roast Tournament in Lansing, Michigan this past weekend.

This past week-end saw Sault Ste. Marie Tweens (12&13 year olds)sweep into Oshawa to bring home the Gold. This was the first tournament for these girls this season and the first time playing any of these teams.

In Girls 'AA' OFSSA Basketball in New Liskeard, the St. Mary's Knights started on the right foot by defeating Timmins Theriault 56-20. Kathleen Thorburn, who went 4-for-5 from the three point line, led all scorers with 12 points.
