CHARGES LAID IN GARDEN RIVER FATAL ACCIDENT Garden River First Nation, Ont., Sault Ste Marie OPP have laid charges in the fatal accident that claimed the lives of five Garden River residents in August of this year.

The OPP has received complaints about youths throwing snowballs at vehicles in the Garden River area. This occurs on a regular basis but the youths responsible were not located last night.

The rainy wet weather over the weekend helped to keep incidents down in the areas patrolled by the Sault O.P.P. WASHOUT Officers came upon a washout in the westbound lane of Highway 17 at Pumpkin Point Road east of Echo Bay.
