City Police Beat

In the evening hours of January 2, a homeowner in the 100 block of Bruce Street reported a break and enter. Items taken include a guitar, a camera and various creams and perfumes.

City Police were called to an active domestic complaint in the downtown area late yesterday afternoon.

On January 3 City Police conducted a vehicle stop at the intersection of Boundary Rd and Trunk Rd. Investigation revealed that a male in the passenger seat was wanted for two counts of theft under $5,000 and three counts of breach of probation.

On the 1 January 2015 Batchewana Police located and arrested a male on an outstanding warrant from 2012. Charged with theft under $5,000.00, failing to appear for fingerprints and failing to appear in court is Andre Gagnon (age 34).

On December 31, 2014 at 11:18 a.m. Patrol Officers and Detectives arrested and charged Curtis Charlebois, age 24 of Albert Street West, with Robbery and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

Sometime during the holidays unknown person(s) entered Fastenal Industrial Supplies located at 671 Great Northern Road and made off with a variety of tools.

A 29 year old male was arrested and charged with various domestic related incidents including threatening, mischief under $5000, and breach of probation.

On the 28th of December, 2014 at approximately 1025 hrs officers responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision at the 200 block of Queen Street East.

On the 27 of December 2014 at approximately 2:45 a.m. patrol officer observed a vehicle driving erratically in the area of Bruce St.

On December 25, 2014 at 8:54 a.m., City Police arrested and charged a 38 year old male with several domestic related charges.
