94 TRAFFIC CHARGES LAID LAST WEEK The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service for the week ending November 14th laid 94 charges under the Highway Traffic Act at various locations through out the city.

City police had a fairly quiet night last night. Four persons were arrested and charged as a result of domestic disturbances. There were no serious injuries. Police will have further details on Monday.

It was a fairly quiet night in the city last night. CHARGED WITH ASSAULT Police have one man in custody this morning following a disturbance at a local night spot. Keith Tarchuk, age 33 of 768 Shafer Avenue is charged with assault.

From the November 4th 7:30 am News Release: “At 4:39 am this morning Patrol Officers were called to the Mike’s Mart on Wellington Street East for a robbery.

DOMESTIC ASSAULT Yesterday, between 3:00 am and 3:45 am the accused, a 23-year-old male, began a domestic argument with his girlfriend. The argument escalated to physical violence when the accused threatened the victim with a knife.

QUIET ELECTION NIGHT The city Police Service reports a very quiet twenty-four hour period. There was no one in custody this morning and there have been no traffic accidents.

WEAPONS ASSAULT On Saturday, at approximately 12:00 p.m. city police arrested a young person in a residence in the east end of the city for assault with a weapon.

City Police have had a fairly quiet twenty-four hour period. In addition to a couple of arrests for liquor infractions, there was one break and enter arrest.

FENDER BENDERS GALORE City police officers were kept busy last evening and this morning with a rash of fender-benders as a result of the weather. Fortunately there were no injuries and property damage was light.
