On the morning of 3 May 2015, a 45-year-old male and a female became involved in a verbal altercation while at a residence in the downtown core. The pair had previously been involved in a relationship.

In the early morning of May 2, City Police officers attended to an east end residence regarding a disturbance. Police were able to determine that a female had broken two windows at that residence.

On April 30, 2015 at 9:15 p.m., city police arrested a 43-year-old male on domestic related offences. It’s alleged that between April 28 and April 30, 2015 the accused slapped, punched and burned the victim with a cigarette.

On the 29th of April, 2015, a report was received of a theft from a vehicle that had been parked on Spadina Avenue overnight. A small knife, spark plugs and change were taken from the vehicle.

On April 29, 2015 Sault Ste Marie Police arrested 41-year-old Annette Denis of Franklin St. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a male victim by punching, pushing and scratching him.

Tuesday, April 28, 2015

On April 27, 2015, city police responded to domestic incident in the west end of the city. Investigation revealed that a male suspect age 33 was in a verbal argument with the victim. The argument escalated and the victim was assaulted.

On April 27, 2015 at 12:00 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 33-year-old male for domestic assault and mischief. The male is alleged to have assaulted his wife and broke their telephone and cellphone.

On the 26 April 2015 the City Police Ride Unit were set up in the area of Wellington St East near East St. They stopped a vehicle and detected the smell of an alcoholic beverage on the driver’s breath. He was given a roadside test and failed.

On April 24, 2015 at 7pm Sault Ste Marie Police attended a downtown address in regards to a domestic investigation. Information was received that on April 22, 2015 a 48 year old male accused assaulted his common law spouse by repeatedly pushing her.

On the 24 April 2015 Murray Lacrosse (age 42) turned himself into the City Police regarding an outstanding warrant for failing to appear for fingerprints. He will be appearing in court on the 11 May to answer to the charge.
