Male Charged with Attempted Murder A 42-year old male was taken into custody yesterday afternoon around 4:30 pm. City Police attended at an east end residence in regards to a domestic dispute.

3 persons will be appearing in bail court this morning: 1) A 40-year old male was arrested around 10:30 pm Friday night after it is alleged that the accused assaulted his wife by grabbing her by her throat, holding her down and squeezing her hand.

Kids Suspected Involving Fire Last night at approx. 10:45 PM the Sault Ste Marie Fire Dept. was sent to Cardinal Leger School in regards to a fire.

Outstanding Warrants At approx. 11:40 PM last night City Police officers stopped a motor vehicle that was being driven without proper headlights. Upon investigating the driver it learned that he was wanted for outstanding warrants.

Break and Enters The Sault Ste Marie Police Service is investigating two Break and Enters from overnight. The first incident reported at approx. 12:15 AM, occurred at RYTAC- 11 McPhail Ave.

Domestic Dispute City Police arrested a male early this morning as a result of a domestic dispute. It is alleged that the accused, a 55-year-old male, assault his common-law partner by pushing her to the floor and choking her.

Assault and Mischief Yesterday evening City Police officers attended at an east end residence and arrested a 23-year-old male for Assault and Mischief. It is alleged that on Friday Aug 5th the male assaulted a female, known to him, by choking her.

Bomb Threat at Local Casino Yesterday afternoon City Police were called to the Sault Charity Casino after a bomb threat was received over the telephone. The Casino Security evacuated the building.
