SEATBELT CHECK The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service will be participating in the Provincial Spring Seatbelt Campaign beginning tomorrow, Sunday, April 13 through until Sunday, April 20.

DRUG BUST Yesterday, members of Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a search warrant under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act for cannabis marijuana at a residence on Albert Street West.

YOUTH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT On April 1, at a Shafer Avenue residence at 12:50 pm, the accused, a 17-year-old male was angry at his 14-year-old stepbrother over a wallet. During the argument, the accused hurled a yo-yo at the victim, missing him.

FAILED TO KEEP COURT DATE Yesterday at 8:30 p.m., patrol officers checked the accused, James Evans, age 49 of 760 Wellington Street East #3 on Queen Street.

SHOPLIFTERS ARRESTED Yesterday at approximately 1:00 pm, the co-accused a 15-year-old female from Huron Street and a 15-year-old female from the Searchmount area were arrested for Theft under $5000. The accused were arrested for taking $63.

YOUTH CHARGED WITH BREACH OF PROBATION On Monday March 24 at 11:55 pm, police officers went to a Blucher Street residence for a curfew check for the accused, a 17-year-old male.
