Stolen Vehicle (Elliot Lake, Ont.) On August 15, 2005 at approximately 10:03 p.m. police responded to a call regarding a stolen vehicle from 10 Veteran’s Way in Elliot Lake.

Residential Break-In (Blind River, Ont.) An activated house alarm led Police in East Algoma to arrest one person for Breaking and Entering. At around 2:30 p.m. police were dispatched to a house alarm on Leacock St in Blind River.

Laird Fair Theft Early Sunday morning officers were called to the Laird Fair regarding a theft.

Counterfeit Bill Surfaces In Elliot Lake (Elliot Lake, Ont.) Police are investigating yet another possible counterfeit bill. On August 10, 2005 a five (5) dollar bill was turned over to police.

2 Vehicle Accident Shortly before 2:00 P.M. yesterday 10 Aug 2005 a two-vehicle accident in front of the Voyageur Restaurant in Batchewana sent three people to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Update Further to our release this date regarding the 1992 Toyota Paseo located on its side along Highway 17 just north of Havilland Shores Drive. The driver 19 yr old driver, Chantal Duchesne of Chelmsford reported to Sault Ste. Marie O.P.P.

Update On Missing Person (Elliot Lake, Ont.) Mr. M. Gysel (80) has been transported to St-Joseph Hospital in Elliot Lake and is expected to completely recover from non-life threatening injuries.

Counterfeit Money Investigation (Elliot Lake, Ont.) The East Algoma OPP is currently investigating a counterfeit $10.00 located in Elliot Lake. Investigation revealed that the $10.

Hwy 17 Garden River Closed (Garden River, ON) Hwy 17, west of Belleau Lake Road due to a serious motor vehicle collision involving two vehicles.

PROPERTY STOLEN (Haughton Township, Ontario) On August 2, 2005 the East Algoma – Thessalon OPP were advised of a theft that occurred on the Shaw Road in Haughton Township, located approximately 20 kilometers north of Thessalon, Ontario.
