MASSEY ACCIDENT DETAILS Yesterday at approximately 3:47 PM, the Ontario Provincial Police were notified of a single vehicle collision west of Massey, Ontario. Officers arrived on scene with the Sables-Spanish Fire Department and ambulance.

HIGHWAY CLOSED AT MASSEY Highway 17 at the Town of Massey was re-opened this afternoon at 6:30 after an injury motor vehicle collision. An air ambulance was called to take the most seriously injured to hospital.

POLICE CHASE Just before noon yesterday, two occupants of a pickup failed to pay for gas in the Wawa area. The gas station attendant got a description of the vehicle and the plate number (which turned out to be stolen) and notified the O.P.P.

BREAK & ENTER Five youths were arrested this morning at 3:20 following a break and enter on Wolf Street in Garden River. The youths were leaving the break and enter scene when Anishinabek Police arrived.

ASSAULT Yesterday at 5pm, police responded to an assault on August Street, Batchawana First Nation (Rankin). An intoxicated woman walked into a neighbour’s residence and struck her in the face then departed prior to police arriving.
