On December 3 in the early morning hours unknown culprits cut a hole in a fence of a business on Sackville Road. Once inside the compound, the culprits broke into a tent and stole a large amount of copper wire.

City police are currently investigating two break and enters that occurred in the west end of the city overnight. Police were called to a residence on Base Line at 6:45 p.m. when the home owner returned to find someone inside the home.

Arrests On December 2, 2015 at 10 a.m. officers located and arrested 37-year-old Travis Brown of St. Michaels Sq. The accused was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court. The accused will appear in court on Jan 4th.

On November 30, 2015 at 2:45 pm Patrol Officers arrested and charged a 36 year old female with Theft under $5,000.00 and Breach of Probation. It is alleged that she stole items from Station Mall Drug Mart.

At 3:50 Aa.m. on November 29, 2015 City Police arrested 41-year-old Karen Kathleen Swanson of Towers St. Sault Ste Marie. It’s alleged that the accused was at the hospital and was apprehended by security for stealing from other patients.

On November 2, 2015 the accused Taylor Dow age 23, failed to attend court on a charge of breach of probation.

City Police were called to Canada Customs earlier today as a result of a disqualified driver they had pulled over. Investigation revealed that the accused was on conditions which prohibited him from driving in Canada.

A break in was reported to The Breakfast Pig on Bruce St. overnight. Investigation revealed that thieves gained entry through a cut screen and then through the window. An undisclosed amount of money was stolen.

On November 23 a homeowner on Elmwood Avenue awoke to find that someone had entered a vehicle parked in the driveway. The vehicle had been gone through and the garage door opener from that vehicle was used to open the garage of the residence.
