City Police Beat

On 8 March 2015, at approximately 2:30 p.m, city police attended at 178 Albert St. E apt. 2 attempting to locate Robbie Delorme (36yrs) of 49 Borron apt 2. There was an outstanding warrant request for Delorme.

Early this morning Patrol Officers attended to the area of Queen St. E and Carmen’s Way regarding a vehicle in the ditch. The lone occupant in the vehicle was attempting to reverse his vehicle out of the ditch.

On March 5, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie Police officers arrested a 26 year old male who was wanted on a domestic warrant for threatening and breach of probation.

On the 4th of March 2015 shortly before 2 am this morning officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Joint Forces Drug Unit executed a search warrant in Aweres Township.

On the March 2, 2015 at 11:50 p.m. and shortly after midnight on March 3, 2015, city police responded to three reports of break and enters to three local establishments in the downtown area. Officers attended in the area along with the Canine Unit.

On March 2, 2015 at 10:30 am Police Officers with the Crime Suppression Unit arrested 21 year old Jason Genua of 23 Churchill Avenue for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.

On the afternoon of Sunday March 1, 2015 officers responded to a report of an impaired driver in the north end of the city. Based on the information received from a witness, officers stopped a vehicle in the area of Willow Ave.

On the morning of February 28, 2015 patrol officers responded to a report of a male and female arguing in the city’s west end.

On February 26, 2015, Sault Ste. Marie police officers investigated a domestic mischief complaint.

On February 25, 2015 at 6:45 p.m., police officers attended a residence in Sault Ste Marie regarding a domestic related call. As a result of a complaint made to police, a 66-year-old male was arrested for assault and mischief to property.
