ASSAULTED GIRLFRIEND A 36-year old male will appear in bail court this morning after being arrested on Saturday. It is alleged that he assaulted his common-law girlfriend by punching and kicking her in the face.

A fatal accident last night claimed the life of 36-year-old Frank Caruso. At 6:54 p.m., Caruso was southbound on North Street. At the same time, a vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Andrew Spironello, was turning left from Bloor Street onto North.

City police had a very quiet night last night. There were two sleeping it off in the cells this morning and three were arrested for domestic assaults. There were no injuries. All three charged in the incidents appeared in WASH court this morning.

ASSAULT WITH BASEBALL BAT Early this morning city police were called to The Blue Boy Restaurant on Wellington Street West after an employee was assaulted. Police arrested 24-year-old Jason Corbiere of 62 Wellington Street West.
